Exploration Green is located approximately 20 miles southeast of downtown Houston, east of the Gulf Freeway (I-45).  It is nestled within the original Clear Lake subdivisions, less than two miles from NASA's Johnson Space Center.

​The main Exploration Green parking lot is located at 16205 Diana Ln., Houston TX 77062.  

​

What parts of Exploration Green Are Open?

Exploration Green is being constructed in phases.  As a result, construction of some parts has not started but they are open, other parts are under construction and closed, and other are complete and open to the public.  Use the following to plan your visit:

Phase 1, accessible from the main parking lot located at 16205 Diana Ln., Houston TX 77062, Phase 2, located northwest of Phase 1 across Reseda Dr., Phase 3A, accessible from the north/west end of Phase 2, Phase 3B, accessible from the Penn Hills Bridge over the Harris County Flood Control ditch, and Phase 4, located northeast of Phase 1 across Reseda Dr. (also accessible from Neptune Lane), are complete and open to the public

The Phase 1 hike & bike trail loop has an approximate length of 1.1 miles.

​

The Phase 2 hike & bike trail loop has an approximate length of 1.2 miles.

​

The Phase 3A hike & bike trail loop has an approximate length of 0.7 miles.

​

The Phase 3B hike & bike trail loop length has not yet been estimated.

​

The Phase 4 hike & bike trail loop length has not yet been estimated.

Phase 5 (between Neptune Ln. and Space Center Blvd. (visible from Bay Area Blvd.) is currently under construction and closed to the public.
